2017 Fattoria di Montecchio Chianti Classico
Medium, bright brick red, with aromas, and flavors that are already quite approachable, appealing. Generous red fruits, fresh acids, firm, fine tannins. This is a winner, but should see an hour of air if consuming any time soon. Drink 2022-2033. recommended+, with upside noted. Really solid for the vintage.
2016 Fattoria di Montecchio Chianti Classico Riserva
Round, a touch modern in the middle, though I think this oak will integrate. Needs some more tannic frame to better support the acids/fruits. Ok today, may well improve in 2-4 years. Good/Good+. I have another bottle that I will open ~ 1 yr post-release as I think this will have moved in the proper direction. recommended

Red berries, some spice, cream. Insufficient acidity to keep for a while, so best to enjoy now thru 2027. Some additional complexity may develop; tannins are round, sweet. Med. finish. recommended
